When I went to Jenny Craig last week one of the first things my consultant asked me was what my goal was going to be. So, by this Tuesday my goal is to at least weigh in and have lost one pound. Remember I am doing a strict (slightly bland) 1200 calorie diet with a lot more exercise than I usually do. It doesn't appear I've lost any yet but we'll see. It certainly is difficult to eat a healthy diet when there are so many parties! I had a jewelry party last night and catered in Dutch food. It was extremely difficult to refrain from eating the same food everyone else was eating - especially because it smelled so good. But, darn it, I'm focused on getting to the lower end of my goal weight and that means not messing up my goal for Tuesday! All the food at parties can be so tempting can't it? Especially if you haven't eaten yet because the will power to resist is that much more difficult. I was proud of myself for probably being the only girl (besides the two pregnant girls) to not have any wine. The pressures of social eating and drinking are endless and they never feel as bad when you're in a large group. It's not until later when I'm by myself that I start realizing I made a poor choice. How do you stay away from food and alcoholic drinks at parties? Any suggestions?
