Many people ask me what's the difference between a grocery store low-fat, frozen meal (such as Lean Cuisine or Healthy Choice) and Jenny Craig. In fact, I can honestly say that I was eating these foods for every meal for a good 6 months before I started Jenny Craig. My weight didn't budge. Now I can admit, that maybe the results would have been different if I would have been educated (thanks to JC) on a balanced diet. If I would have known that I still need to add two fruits a day, veggies for lunch and dinner (to reach 1200 calories with a fat-free, nutritious way of doing things), 2 cups of milk per day, and a 100 calorie snack maybe I really would have lost the weight. Originally all those meals were too high in sodium but I know in the past year or two they've done an excellent job of trying to stay under 650mg. The only difference I can now find is a lot of these meals are still higher in fat than JC's. It would be an interesting experiment to do now that their sodium is down. LOL, it certainly would be cheaper...
